Home sweet home-Day 3

I keep telling my friends that I love to stay longer in the hospital after I deliver my baby. But this time, the nurse keep asking me when I want to be discharge since day one. Haha.

Is not that the hospital that I was admitted is so 'posh' or has 1st class services but I guess these only few days in there is the only days that I truly have my own 'ME' time and I don't have to do anything. It's like holidays for me.

Hmmm, but as much as I like those days I'm still glad and happy to be home to my own bed and my family.

ready to go home

My other kids were so excited and can't wait to see their baby sister home. As a surprise they made this home made cards and banner just to welcome Baby Ameena. How sweet. Thank you darlings!!!

Welcome to the world!

Salam Ramadhan untuk semua umat islam tak kira dimana berada. I know it's a bit late but I hope each and everyone have a meaningful and barakah month this year Insyaallah.

Alhamdulillah, after a lengthy 'warning' period and quick labor, my healthy baby girl was born on Saturday evening, 16 Ramadhan 1433, 4th of August 2012. Both mommy and baby doing well Alhamdulillah.

Hello world-fresh from the oven

Today it's her 7th day into this world. We haven't officially register her birth yet but Insyaallah we will call her Ameena. Her big sister Ameera choose the name and both her brothers keep calling her since in my tummy by Baby Meena! Insyaallah hopefully you will beautiful as the name and menjadi anak yang solehah didunia and akhirat. Amin.

Mild Alzheimer's or am I just getting older?

Last week, on the 6th of August I posted an entry about my son's 15th-month progress. A few hours after I published it and updated my status with a new profile picture of my son I just realised that I'd made a mistake.

Oppppsss.... forgive me! He's not even his 15th months yet. Errr...I get easily confused with my other two kids' birth dates, both of which falls on the 6th. He will be 15 months soon though i.e. next week which is the 25th. Haiyoo.... am I getting older and can easily forget something or is the case which lots of people say, the more the kids you have the more of your urat saraf becomes unplugged which eventually makes you forgetful. OMG... jauhkanlah... Amin!

Anyway, another thing happened a day after I posted the entry. Guess what? His first ever tooth finally came out. Yayyyy! At long last... Maybe he just wanted to prove that Mummy was so wrong to doubt his teeth-growing abilities. Hah! You want teeth? Well, I'll I give you one. Unfortunately, until this day, the tooth has yet to fully show itself. It's just like a sedapkan hati measure to keep Mummy happy...

Can you see it? Can you?

I can't really take a clearer picture as it's only a tiny bit that pops up from his gums but it's funny, when my two other kids had their first tooth or teeth, two of them come out at the same time. Not for Hisham though. It's only the one for him and it makes him look like Popeye! This is a first experience for me as well. You see, I've been told that when the first tooth appears babies tend to get very crancky, tired, restless, cry all the time, feverish - you name it. His got it. Never happened with my two other kids. I suppose, there's a first time for everything.

For a whole week, we didn't get enough sleep at night. Alhamdulillah, these days it's back to normal. With more teeth to come, I hope it won't be as bad as this...

It's the DAY!!

Good Morning Ireland and Good day everyone...

OMG, it's 3 weeks away to being exactly 40 weeks pregnant and I was in hospital giving birth to my third son. That was a year ago. It was a normal day and I'd just come back from my friend's house for a small party. As always, during the weekend, I was so busy finishing-up my office work. The work was due first thing on Monday morning as I would need to send it back to the office to my Boss. But that weekend I was just too lazy to do it and still has a bit more to do on it.

That night, I could't sleep and I thought off waking up early in the morning to finish off the work but I just couldn't sleep so, I decided to stay up a bit and get everything done. After, packing all the work into my favourite baby blue and black cheap old Gap backpack I went straight to bed. It was around midnight and Husayn, who has a tendency too talk during his sleep, climbed on my bed and said

Mummy the baby's falling down...

I asked him again, but knowing that he was only sleep-talking, after trying another few times, I gave up. I didn't feel good. Suddenly, I felt like going to the loo. After finishing my business, I tried to sleep again, but at the same time I felt something that can only be described as a mild period pain. As it was in the summer, and Subuh (Fajr) prayer time is early enough, I got ready and did solat. After solay I was praying

If its the time, all I need is a good sign

Having left it to fate, I acted cool again. My husband was sleeping and he needed to go to the office in the morning. So, I just counted the time. It was getting closer and closer. I needed to go to the loo again and this time I think my water broke.

God had answered my prayer. Pretty quickly as well! So, I woke my husband up and asked him to tell my Mom who was in the next room that it was time. Here we go. This time I was fully prepared. Maybe it's because it was my third time. All my stuff and the new baby's stuff was already in the car.

After my husband finished his own prayers, he drove me to the hospital. It was 3 am in the morning, and most of the way the traffic lights were red so naturally, my husband stopped at every single red light. I couldn't take it any longer and said...

Even if I don't scream and act cool, it doesn't mean that I'm not in pain. I don't think the Garda will stop us and fine us once they know my situation.
Right after that, off he went very quickly to the destination. When we got there, he buzzed the hospital door and got a wheelchair for me as at this stage I could barely walk. My water was still flowing. It was just so much this time and I was all wet. As it was in the middle of the night and I was supposed to go for my next clinic visit 2 days later, they took a while to look for my file and I had to wait for a while. Moral of the story; Even if you can cope with the pain just pretend and scream your head off. If not, they will take their own sweet time to check you in the labour ward.

Hokay, after I was settled in the labour room yadaa..yadaa...push...push...After all the drama, about an hour after that, Alhamdulillah a gorgeous baby boy named Muhammad Hisham was borned into this world.

So to birthday boy, a very Happy First Birthday from your beloved Mummy. I love you so much baby forever and ever. Mummy is not good at giving a speech and writing things but you know I'll do anything for you well, for all my kids to see you become a good person who has success in this world (and the next), anak yang beriman dan dilindungi Allah sentiasa. Amin!

So as most of you woulld know, I have 2 other kids that were born in winter time so, since I knew that I was pregnant and my due date would be somewhere in this kind of weather, I was so excited and couldn't wait to celebrate this special day in the sun! Well, we're not going to have a big one, but hopefully if the weather stays like this at least we can fully utilise our nice back garden. I was thinking of doing something sometime next week over the Bank Holiday weekend. Emmm... so lots to plan as I'll be all alone cooking for everyone...Insyaallah.

Oh, and you people are invited...

My baby's progress

No. It's not that his 10 months old already but in the last 2 days he has started to crawl. Well, not really a proper crawl but mostly slithering on his stomach like a mini soldier using his arms and elbows.

I've been writing every month about my baby's progress and to be honest, I'm a bit worried mainly because, compared to his brother and sister who at this stage could crawl, stand and sit steadily without support, he's still pretty much like a baby errr... a smaller baby. He can sit by himself but is still quite wobbly.

Heheh... I can't get the real soldier-baby video but this is the more or less what he looks like when he is trying to reach me or something else except without the crying bit. Oh yes, he loves to cry a lot now. Seeking attention in any kind of way. Choking himself by inserting his finger into his throat as well as the usual screaming his head off untill his eyes are red and swollen.

On the other hand, he prefers this way to move around. Heheh...Flipping and turning his body until he reaches his desired destination.

Opppss..! He nearly fell off the bed again. I have to CUT!!!
