Surprise!!!

Just having another bad day, I guess. I thought it'll be an all-new good week. Unfortunately, at this stage, it doesn't look like it's going to be a good one.

Before I went to bed last night, my husband said to me, Yang nampak macam nak snow jek...(Yang, looks ike it's going to snow).

I was like, what the...?

Apa merapu laki aku nie. It's spring already.

Snow? It just didn't make sense. Only a few days ago, I had just posted about it being spring. The nice weather, my gardening, the fact that I had just bought plenty of bedding flowers, seeds and plants for my garden. In my head, I was thinking, What? You must be joking...

Without saying another word I just went to sleep.

I woke up in the morning and my husband declared, Yang, snow lebat giller kat luar...(Yang it's snowing heavily out there).

Again, rubbing my eyes while Hisham was still in my arms, I looked at him with an obviously annoyed look on me. What in the world is my husband up to? Seriously, it was just too early in the morning to be putting up with his not-so funny jokes.

He opened the curtains. I was speechless!

Ok FINE!!!

Oh, no my new flower and fruit patch!

I went downstairs and as usual I prepared a packed lunch for my hubby, had breakfast with the kids and updated my FB status when the mail man came. Ameera when to pick up the post and just handed me over one envelope.

I opened it and even before I read the whole thing, I had a good idea what it was. A rejection letter from the place where I went for an interview last week.

I have mixed feelings though. At the back of my mind, I didn't want to go back to work but on the other hand, I was disappointed because I need a job and the money that comes with it. Sigh.

But after all that, I felt relieved because I can still be with my kids at home, doing everything for them myself. Obviously, I wouldn't have to worry about who was going to look after them while I was at work. Who was going to send and pick up Ameera from school. Yes, I felt disappointed but relieved at the same time. Maybe I was just not ready, yet. Well, that's what I tell myself anyway.

After having lunch, I cleaned what ever needed cleaning-up in the kitchen. I went back upstairs to take a shower and give the kids a bath. Husayn said he dind't want to wear nappy. I asked him a few times whether he was sure.

Tell me when you want to wee wee, OK?

And of course, he said YES. I was in the middle of my shower, when suddeenly Ameera shouted...

Mummy! Husayn wee wee on your bed!!!

What???

I jumped out of the shower and there was another Cinderella-esque task to do: Cleaning up the bed.

I gaveHusayn another shower.

Pheww...what a day! I don't know but I just feel so tired today. Husayn's still screaming and crying his head off. Arrgghh....

I just finished everything and put my kids to bed for a nap in front of my laptop. To top it off, I couldn't get access to my blog account which means I won't be able to update my post today.

Maybe it was just another bad day. Here's hoping tomorrow will be better.

It's Monday again!!!

Woke up in the morning as usual. It's Monday!!! Arghhh...not again. Have to take a shower, get everything ready as my daughter's going to school and my husband's going to work. Ooops...I just remembered. It's the school holidays. Yay!!!



So, while still wearing my PJ's, I went down and made my husband his breakfast and his sandwich for lunch in the office (isteri mithali gitu). I went back upstairs hoping to continue my beauty sleep. The kids were all wide awake.

Husayn: Mummy can we go down? My tummy's rumbling. I'm hungry. Ameera: Yes Mummy, can we go down? I want to watch TV. Mummy: Give Mummy 5 minutes ok?
ZZZzzz...not in peace but more like trying to close my eyes while my kids kept on whining to go down.

I give up! So here it goes.

I am happy because it's the school holidays and I don't have any obligation to go out in this miserable Irish weather early in the morning to walk to the bus stop. But knowing my kids, who are all very energetic and full of ideas, merely staying at home and curling up under the blankets is just not an option. I have to think of something else. Well actually, lots of things.

Two weeks!!! Well it just made my day. I'll be very busy for sure.

My daughter just made a list of things to do and somehow, I was duped into promising her that we'd tick everything off her list. The good thing is, at least I had planned what to do over this Easter bank holiday weekend. I'll let you know about it soon so, you guys out there who are in Ireland could maybe come and join us.

The best part of the plan is that it's free. I promise. Well, most of it anyway.

Finally... Spring is here!!!

For the last couple of days the weather been very good. Alhamdulillah. Spring is finally here in Ireland. Despite this, it's still a bit chilly but the sun shines very bright and makes my day.


Since last year, I haven't had a chance to make any real changes to my garden largely due to my pregnancy and the fact that I spent most of summer in Malaysia. So, this year, I thought I had to do something useful with the garden.

While my kids enjoyed playing/acting as Power Rangers R.P.M in our back garden, my husband and I were busy clearing a piece of my lawn with the intention of planting some nice flowers, fruits, vegetables and herbs. The idea is that it's good in this recession that we're in at the moment.

But they just couldn't resist looking at my dirty hands so, they joined in to help me as well. Actually, it was probably more to play with the dirty soil that has lots of worms in it. Seriously, the worms are very BIG.

Don't mind my outfit. Just couldn't be bothered to change to a proper gardening clothes.

So here's a sneak peak from my almost-there veggie, herb and flower patch. I have few more plants in mind to grow in that small space. Just bear with me though. I'll post and update once I complete it and when it starts showing signs of growth.

Plants that are still invisible under the soil are sunflowers, chilies, tomatos, pak choi, little gem lettuce, tumeric, lilly, blueberries and a few more herbs.

Hopefully everything will grow as planned!

He is 10 months today

I'm SO nervous today. Well, that's actually another story. Will write about it some other time hopefully. But wish me luck anyway!


My Hisham is 10 months today. This is for real this time. Hehehe. When I wrote my blog yesterday, I didn't realised that it was going to be the 25th today. Don't mind me. I've lost track of dates these days. Maybe, it will all return to normal once I get my self a job. Hehehe.

Anyway, after I gave Hisham a bath today, I think I succeeded in getting his 'Twinkle twinkle little star' video. The fast version. Hehehe. I tried again after I put on his clothes but unfortunately, he won't do it again in front of my camera phone. Well, just enjoy this one then for now.
